Obituary | Doss, Cecil Funeral services for Cecil Doss, 83, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Trinity United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tommy Ewing, retired Methodist minister of Tulia, and the Rev. Horace Abbott, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home. Mr. Doss died at 11:15 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 6, 2000, at his residence. He was born July 7, 1916, in Tolbert. He attended schools in Harold where he graduated from high school. He moved to El Reno, Okla. In 1942 and to Plainview in 1945. He worked for Shepard Chevrolet Co. for 13 years and later owned and operated Doss Automotive. He was a charter member of Trinity United Methodist Church. On Oct. 11, 1942, he married Aleta Faye Davidson. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Don Oliver Doss of Oklahoma City. Okla., and Noel Dean Doss of San Diego, Calif., one sister, Dorothy Tyler of Plainview; four grandchildren, Brandi Ezell, Kristin Kuenz, Anne Sowdal and John Sowdal.
