Obituary![]() | services for Frank Norfleet Blackwell, 82, of Plainview, are set for 3 p.m. Monday at Center Plains Cemetery in Cotton Center with Justin Unwin and Andrew Housley of First Assembly of God officiating. Arrangements are by Freeman-Abell Funeral Home in Hale Center. Mr. Blackwell died Saturday, Sept. 26, 1998, at Integrated Health Services of Plainview. He was born June 14, 1916, in Cotton Center and lived in the Plainview area all his life. He married Gladys Schiblehute in Hale County in 1958. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion in Plainview. Survivors include a daughter, Frankie Hembree of Plainview; a stepson, Walter Bozarth of Plainview; two brothers, Vernon Blackwell of Amarillo and Walter Blackwell of Chaparral, N.M.; a sister, Mary Atkins of Las Vegas, Nev.; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers. |
