| Obituary | Richardson, S.C. Funeral services for S.C. Richardson, 84, of Hale Center, will be at 2 p.m. Monday in First Baptist Church of Halfway with the Rev. Gordon Benson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Hale Center Cemetery by Freeman-Abell Funeral. Mr. Richardson died Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2002, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock. He was born Dec. 7, 1918, in McLean. He married Margaret Ruth Shackelford on Oct. 26, 1940, in Big Spring. She died Feb. 10, 2002. He graduated from Lockney High School and moved to Hale Center from Lockney in 1947. He was a deacon at First Baptist Church of Halfway and prior to that at First Baptist Church in Mayfield. Survivors include a son, Sammy Richardson of Lubbock; a daughter, Kathy Ann Richardson of Center Point; a brother, Garner Richardson of Amarillo; two sisters, Mildred Harper of El Paso and Melrose Perkins of Dallas. A son, Danny Harold Richardson, died in 1950. The family suggests memorials be sent to Hale Center Public Library, Box 214, Hale Center, TX 79041. Plainview Daily Herald- Dec. 15,2002 |
