Obituary	Funeral services for Maria Buendia Rodriguez, 82, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Primera Iglesia Bautista with the Rev. Joe Hernandez, pastor, and the Rev. Glen Godsey, associate director of missions of Caprock-Plains Baptist Area, officiating. Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. today in Lemons Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Lemons Funeral Home. Mrs. Rodriguez died at 9:54 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2004, in Lockney Hospital. She was born March 12, 1922, in Fredricksburg. In 1950 she married Eluterio "Luther" Rodriguez in Clovis, N.M. Survivors include her husband; a daughter and son-in-law, Margie and Adan Chaves of Plainview; two sons and daughters-in-law, Reyes "Sonny" and Armandina Alonzo of Plainview and John Joe and Hortencia Alonzo of Amarillo; a sister, Elida Silva of Parlier, Calif.; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Eliseo Buendia and Harry Buendia, and four sisters, Antonia Garza, Lola Guzman, Melesia Esquivel and Lupe Chavirria, are deceased.
