Obituary![]() | Uncle L.J. Yates Dies L.J. Yates, age 77 years and nine moths, died at his home in Hale Center Friday afternoon at 5 o’clock, and the funeral took place at the Methodist church in that town Saturday afternoon at 3 o’clock, under the direction of Pastor G.T. Palmer assisted by Rev. George Bryant of Panhandle. Interment followed in Hale Center cemetery. The deceased had been a citizen of Hale Center for twenty-three years, an dwas highly esteemed. He had all the good qualities of the old pioneer. He leaves a wife, four sons and two daughters—Henry of El Paso, Cay of Riverside, Calif., Asa of Clarndon, George of Idalou, Mrs. I.M. Bailey of Hale Center and a daughter living in Missouri. All were present except the two living in California and Missouri. |
